The Opportunity

Our Des Plaines, IL Headquarters, has an opening for the Service Business Manager – Contract Sales Administration who will manage the function and process of service sales contracts and pricing.

  • The incumbent will provide cross-functional support to develop and drive service contract sales, value proposition, sound contracting and pricing strategies, with the ability to lead and influence both with and without direct authority.
  • Develop and manage a standardized service contract sales process, act as a key liaison cross-functionally.
  • Act as a consultant and subject matter expert (SME) relative to service contract language, terms and conditions, including service entitlements and commercial process.
  • Develop cadence & reporting mechanism to show progress and plan to goals
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve problems and accomplish goals.
  • Responsible for associated administrative tasks.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Implementation of strategy, scope, process, and programs related to service sales contracts
  • Providing significant and positive impact to short-term, mid-range and long-term organizational goals
  • Demonstrating continual improvement in matters concerning contracting and pricing
  • Creating a work environment that supports cross-functional team effectiveness
  • Responsible to assist ongoing training of the Commercial Sales & Service Team on Service Contracts and Pricing Policies.
  • Demonstrated appropriate level of leadership experience to lead and influence. Requires high levels of competence, confidence and credibility.
  • Strategic and tactical decisions will be made based upon data the individual provides and/or presents in a management or informal setting.
  • Errors or failure to achieve results will add to costs and may impact the goals of the organization.
  • Position operates independently with limited to no direct supervision; manages workload to meet critical deadlines under challenging time constraints.

Education / Skills /Experience You will bring:

Experience:

  • Knowledge of and ability to apply contracting and pricing strategies to business-specific operations.
  • Ability to understand the organization's strategy and translate this into day-to-day contracting and pricing activities.
  • Experience working with sales or in a sales/service environment is critical.
  • Ability to facilitate interpretation and understanding of data, identify risks, develop recommendations and implement solutions.
  • Ability to build, maintain and develop professional relationships and partnerships within and outside of the immediate work environment.
  • Ability to consistently provide clear and concise written and verbal communication, excellent presentation skills.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills; problem-solving skills; - ability or aptitude to utilize computer software applications to complete tasks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related Field.
  • Requires 7+ years of applicable experience to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities this position
  • +3 years’ service contract Management
  • Medical Device / IVD experience.
  • Has a history of completing successful projects and driving positive compliance outcomes.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time both domestically and internationally to support organizational goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree – preferred
  • Management Stakeholder process between Service and Sales
  • Preferred experience in the Healthcare (Medical Device ) industry.
